How to Brew

There are a few ways to brew cacao, and typically it brews like coffee or tea. We have found that like tea, when allowed to steep for longer it brings out more flavor. Cacao is not as instant as coffee. Remember you can brew your grounds 2-3 times more depending on your liking to the strength of the brew.

The standard is 2 tbsp of Teo to every 8 oz of water (1c). For detailed instructions, see below:

French Press

STEP 1: Prepare hot water

STEP 2: Prepare Téo according to desired strength

  • Normal: 2 tbsp of Téo  for 8 oz of water
  • Strong: 3+ tbsp of Téo for 8 oz of water

STEP 3: Put Téo & pour water into the french press & stir

STEP 4: Steep for around 10 min then press down the plunger all the way down (stir before pressing down)

STEP 5: Pour and Enjoy!!

OPTIONAL: Add creamer, sweetener, or enjoy it black!
