Ecuador Cacao Brew
Upon opening the bag waves of chocolate syrup, light oak, vanilla and maple syrup notes arrive. Once brewed (I make mine in a French press) there are flavors of hazelnuts, semi-sweet chocolate chip cookie and even some graham cracker notes. Tasty!
This is the perfect blend of mint with cacao. I usually mix half coffee/half cacao and make it iced. Very refreshing. 5/5

Teo Cacao Blends is such an incredible jump start to any part of the day! I made the Mexican blend in a Mr. Coffee style coffee maker and it’s the most delicious creation! As if hot chocolate and coffee had the most invigorating baby! I can’t wait to try it iced this summer!!
Just opening the bag and smelling the chocolate and peppermint together is a real treat. Loved this for making my own peppermint mocha without all the sugar and so much more flavor. Definitely recommend for a refreshing morning pick-up! My mom also loves using it in her homemade chocolates!

This stuff is amazing. I suffer from anxiety and coffee was making it worse, my doctor even suggested I stop. So thankful I found Teo Cacao. I don't have those terrible headaches and the crash coffee gave me. The smell and taste are incredible!
I love how I feel relaxed and ‘happy go lucky’ after a cup! I make it a point to sit down to drink this and have a few moments to myself! I feel like I’m getting a treat! Bonus for not giving me caffeine jitters or crashes! I prefer to drink it with frothed almond milk and plain or with some hazelnut flavor to deepen the chocolate nuttiness.

vanilla blackberry cacao brew
Recipe by @drink_alt
- 5 tablespoons of Téo Cacao Brew
- 1.5 cups water
- 1/2 cup blackberries
- 1/4 cup sugar/honey/maple syrup etc.
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1. To a french press, add Teo cacao grounds and filtered water. Stir to combine, place french press lid on and press the plunger down right at water level. Let sit at room temperature.
- 2. After 24 hours, press the plunger down completely and pour brew into a separate airtight container where it can be stored in the fridge for up to several days.
- 3. To a saucepan, add blackberries, sugar and water, and bring to a boil. Lower heat and let simmer for 10 minutes while using the back of a wooden spoon to help break down blackberries.
- 4. Once sauce has thickened, remove from heat and add vanilla extract
- 5. Strain out blackberry pulp and let cool. Store in airtight container for up to 10 days.
- 6. To assemble drink, start by mixing 3/4 cup cacao brew with with 1 tablespoon blackberry sauce and ice. Taste and adjust to desired level of sweetness.
