Téo comes from the Spanish word, teobromina, which is translated to theobromine in English. Theobroma Cacao is the name of the cacao tree plant.

How do you source your cacao?
Direct Trade
The farmers we work with and their livelihoods are important to us. We believe in paying good wages and supporting high quality agricultural training so that farmers can learn to optimize and produce the best quality cacao, giving them leverage to demand good prices.
Currently, we source our cacao beans from a small family farm in Naranjal, Ecuador.
